The fields around Kenilworth Castle, January 2022

We drove over to Kenilworth, parked up just outside, and took a walk through the fields around the castle. Although I have been doing quite a bit of walking on this UK trip, this day proved to be my best in terms of mileage (15.9 km).
Something kind of interesting also occurred. Quite early on in the walk we went through the graveyard of St. Nicholas church, so obviously I suggested we play the "find the oldest gravestone" game. We didn't. However, just a couple of days later, my hiking guide for the day, who is also looking in to my family tree for me, discovered that my great, great, great, great, grandmother was buried in that same graveyard in the 1700s!!! So now I have to go back and try and find it!
Anyhow, here's a few shots of the afternoon. Obviously we had to finish with a couple of pints in the Virgins and Castle.
